The part-time Bachelor of Nursing takes four years instead of three. The program leads to the same degree and the same authorization as the full-time program, but the teaching is organized in blocks so that you can combine your studies with work.

Structure

The program is based on on-campus sessions, with three to four sessions per semester in Bergen. Between sessions, you work on online assignments and self-study. Practical training makes up 90 credits and is completed full-time in periods of six to eight weeks. The practical training periods cannot be taken part-time.

Career opportunities

Completed education provides the basis for authorization as a nurse from the Directorate of Health. Nurses work in municipal health services, in hospitals, in home care services, and within mental health care.

Further studies

After completing the bachelor's degree, you can apply for further education, for example intensive care nursing or public health nursing.
