Reviews avoid spoilers for the first four weeks after a film's general release.
What counts as a spoiler
Anything that a viewer could not reasonably expect from the trailer or the premise: the identity of a killer, a death, a twist, or the ending. The existence of a twist is itself treated as a spoiler.
Plot summaries
Plot summaries describe the setup and the first act only. They are written to be safe to read before watching. Where a summary has to mention a later event to make sense at all, the page carries a spoiler warning above it.
After four weeks
Longer analytical pieces may discuss the whole film. These always carry "Spoilers" in the headline and a warning in the first paragraph.
