Independence
Reviewers are not paid by studios, distributors or streaming services. Press screenings, screeners and festival accreditation are accepted; travel and accommodation paid for by a distributor are declined. Any remaining relationship between a reviewer and a film is disclosed in the review itself.
Advertising
Advertising is sold separately from editorial and no advertiser sees a review before publication. Sponsored articles, if they ever appear, are labelled "Advertisement" in the headline.
Reviewing our own coverage
A reviewer does not review a film they worked on in any capacity. Where the site has published an interview with a filmmaker, the review of their next film says so.
