Record-high number of applicants to the nursing program

The university received 2,340 applications to the nursing program in this year’s main admissions round, an increase of eleven percent from last year. The part-time option accounts for most of the growth.

– We see that more people who are already working want to take the program alongside their jobs, says the head of studies at the Institute of Health Sciences. The part-time track lasts four years and is based on in-person gatherings.

The university is increasing the number of part-time study places from 40 to 60 starting this fall. Clinical placements in the municipal health service are still the main limitation for further expansion.
