Most bachelor's programs and one-year courses are admitted through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service. Master's programs, continuing education, and some decentralized offerings have local admission directly to the university.
Deadlines
The regular application deadline through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service is 15 April. Applicants entitled to early admission or special consideration have a deadline of 1 March. International applicants outside the EEA have a deadline of 1 December.
Documentation
Certificates from Norwegian upper secondary school after 1994 are retrieved automatically. Other documentation must be uploaded by 1 July, or 20 April for applicants with a 1 March deadline.
Response deadline
The main admissions results are published on 20 July. You must respond to the offer by 24 July. Supplemental admissions are made continuously until the start of studies.
Points
Competitive points consist of grade points, additional points for science and language, age points, and any gender points. Applicants under 21 compete in the quota for general admission certificates.
