How to pitch
Send a single paragraph describing the film and the argument you want to make, plus two links to published work, to pitches@example.com. Do not send a finished review; we commission from pitches.
What we are looking for
A specific argument about one film. We do not commission unfocused round-ups, ranked lists, or reviews of films that have been out for more than a year unless there is a reason now.
Length and rate
Reviews run 600 to 900 words. Longer features are commissioned at up to 2,000 words. Rates are agreed in writing before you start, and we pay within 30 days of publication.
Response time
We answer every pitch within ten working days. If you have not heard from us after that, the pitch is free to place elsewhere.
