The Master in Marine Biology addresses marine organisms and how they are affected by climate change, pollution and harvesting. The programme includes extensive fieldwork along the Norwegian coast and laboratory work.

Structure

The first year consists of courses in marine ecology, marine systematics and methodology. The second year is devoted to the 60-credit master thesis. Several students collect data aboard research vessels.

A bachelor degree in biology or equivalent with at least 80 credits in biological subjects and an average grade of C or better. Application deadline for international applicants is 1 December.
