The University of Stavanger offers a three-year, full-time bachelor in Computer Science worth 180 ECTS. The 2026/2027 study plan lists Norwegian as the teaching language. The award is a bachelor degree in engineering.
Subjects and teaching
Students work with programming, algorithms, databases, computer security, operating systems and networks. Mathematics and physics support the technical subjects. Teaching includes lectures, exercises, projects and laboratory work.
Placement, exchange and part-time plans
A placement can be chosen in semester five, which is also the planned exchange semester. After admission, students can apply for an individual part-time plan. Such plans follow ordinary daytime teaching; they are not a separate evening or online programme.
Applying
Entry requires Higher Education Entrance Qualification plus mathematics R1 or S1 and S2, R2 and Physics 1, or the specified one-year engineering preparatory course. Apply through Samordna opptak. The source states 15 April without a year; confirm the relevant intake with UiS.
