Nord University students received three of the eight awards at the Norwegian Game Awards 2026 ceremony in Trondheim Spektrum on 20 March. They studied Games and Entertainment Technology in Levanger.
Award-winning projects
- Jiggle Ball received Gamer's Choice.
- Ødeborg received Best Narrative.
- PinPals received Most Innovative Game.
Developing a semester project
Ødeborg and PinPals began as semester projects and were refined before the competition. Both were also nominated for Game of the Year. PinPals placed second in the audience vote.
A concrete example of student work
The story connects programming, storytelling and game design with completed student projects. The event offers an opportunity to present work and receive industry feedback. These awards describe the featured teams; they are not a promise of outcomes for future students.
