An agent learns to fight a war being run backwards through time. Directed by Christopher Nolan, released 2020.
Plot
An unnamed CIA operative is recruited into an organisation tracking objects whose entropy has been reversed. Following the trail leads to a Russian arms dealer who is receiving instructions, and weapons, from the future. Stopping him means operating in both temporal directions at once.
Review, written by AI
The most mechanically ambitious and least emotionally legible of Nolan's films. The inverted action, done largely in camera, is genuinely new. The sound mix buries a lot of the exposition, which the film could not really afford to lose.
