Plot
Mark Zuckerberg builds a social network in a Harvard dorm room and takes it national within two years. The story is told through two depositions, one brought by the Winklevoss twins and one by his co-founder Eduardo Saverin, so every scene is already contested testimony. Nobody in it is quite reliable.

Sorkin's dialogue and Fincher's coldness pull in opposite directions and the friction is what makes it good. Structuring the film as competing depositions solves the problem of dramatising software. The Reznor and Ross score aged better than the company did.
