Plot
The Kim family lives in a semi-basement flat and takes piecework where it comes. When the son is recommended as an English tutor to the wealthy Park family, he forges a credential and gets in, then places his sister, father and mother in the household one by one. What is already in the house is the part nobody planned for.

A comedy for an hour and something else entirely afterwards, and the hinge is one of the best-built in recent film. The house does most of the arguing: everything is staged vertically. Won the Palme d'Or and Best Picture, which had never happened before.
