Plot
Imperator Furiosa smuggles five women out of the Citadel in a fuel tanker, intending to reach the green place she remembers from childhood. Immortan Joe's war parties pursue. Max, captured and used as a blood supply, ends up chained to the front of one of them.

The plot is a road, taken twice, and the film is a masterclass in telling everything through vehicles and faces. Practical stunt work in a period when nobody was still doing it at this scale. Furiosa, not Max, is the lead, and Miller does not pretend otherwise.
