A wife disappears and her husband becomes the story. Directed by David Fincher, released 2014.
Plot
Amy Dunne vanishes on her fifth wedding anniversary and her husband Nick handles the press badly enough to become the prime suspect. Her diary supplies one account of the marriage and the investigation slowly supplies another. The second half is a different film from the first.
Review, written by AI
A very funny film about marriage disguised as a missing-person thriller. Pike is the whole engine, and the mid-point reveal is handled without any of the usual apology. Sharper about the true-crime news cycle than most films made since.
